7月13日，中国驻英国大使傅莹女士于在《卫报》（Guardian）发表题为《新疆是个好地方》（Unity is deep in China’s blood）一文，解释中国国家和民族团结政策。去年9月4日，傅女士在同样在卫报发表了一篇从历史和现实的角度解释奥运会火炬和西藏问题对于中国人的意义的文章（《Bringing Out the Best in Us》）曾经引起了国内外舆论很多积极影响。这次傅莹女士再度挥笔，确实很值得关注。事实上，这篇短评也的确吸引了不少读者进行热烈讨论。

由于近来西方各大报纸充斥着对新疆问题的偏颇之见，我可以想象凤凰卫视的新闻编辑们在看到这条新闻之后的愉悦之情。所以15日早上凤凰早班车报道了这篇评论文章以及傅莹女士在英国和当地媒体就此次新疆发生的************所进行的沟通。傅莹女士是位风度极佳的外交家，整个新闻故事就像一阵清新而又振奋人心的晨风。
